Our Biodynamic Preparations:


Field Sprays

BD #500 – also called Horn Manure.  Apply in the spring and/or fall when bare ground presents.  Promotes root activity and grown of plants; aids in the germination of seeds; balancer of the soil’s nitrogen and ph.

BD #501 – also called Horn Silica. Applied in early morning. It is an aid to photosynthesis and enhances flavor and 
nutritive qualities.

Barrel Compost – also called BC or Biodynamic Compound Preparation.  Applied when there is not enough compost to spread.  We mix with BD #500.

Equisetum – Equisetum arvense acts as a preventative when fungus issues present.


The Compost Preparations:

These six Preparations are placed in your compost pile together, enriching and preparing your compost for your fields and gardens.

BD #502 – Yarrow (Achillea millefolium flowers) assists with potassium and sulphur and with plant growth.

BD #503 – Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla flowers) is a stabilizer of nitrogen and strengthener of plant growth. 

BD #504 – Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica stem and leaves) is a stimulator of iron, potassium, magnesium, sulphur and calcium.

BD #505 – Oak Bark (Quercus alba bark) assists in phosphorous and calcium development and fungal resistance.

BD #506 – Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale flowers) stimulates boron, selenium and magnesium.

BD #507 – Valerian (Valeriana officianale flowers) stimulates phosphorous activity and soil warmth.  Can be used independently as a spray to protect buds from spring frost.
