We have used biodynamic methods for two decades. In the beginning biodynamic agriculture’s focus on healing the earth appealed to us.  So using biodynamic practices we started developing the soil and treating our fields and animals without harmful chemicals.  Its homeopathic approach, using plants, herbs, minerals, and animals, plus acknowledging that working with the stars, moon, planets with conscious human interaction in a very systematic way, all appealed to us.  We started seeing results and others began remarking about our vibrant animals and vital fields.

We cannot fully explain all of the whys and hows, but the results are undeniable. Rudolph Steiner, the founder of biodynamic agriculture, has given us the guidance and tools to co-create with the natural and cosmic forces with remarkable results. Biodynamics requires that you have a long-term view of farming and are committed to stewarding the Earth. The efforts are life-giving and bring joy and satisfaction.

There are lots of good biodynamic agriculture books to gain greater understanding.  Rudolf Steiner’s Agriculture Lectures are a must read and Gardening with Moon & Stars by Elen Sentier is a good primer.
